Bubba & the 3 1/2 pound large mouth bass he caught yesterday! That was one lucky fish...since we had so many crappie, he was released back into the lake to be caught again!
While we were still in Rockport, we did some Rock & Roll ice cream. Everyone had a great time. Our friends, Sonny & Karen are there next to Bubba... eating ice cream too!
This is Fulton Mansion in .... Built by George Fulton. Built in 1877, and the first home in South Texas to have indoor plumbing, gas lighting and central heat. It is 4 stories tall and has weathered many a hurricane. We are leaving Rockport in the morning...soon to be in Onalaska.
Here is our friend Susan...and who is that man standing next to her??? It couldn't possably be Don...he ALWAYS wears tee shirts! Who is this guy in the flower power shirt?
On Valentine's Day, the men of the park cooked a meal for the women. They even decorated the club house for us....This is the desert table...yummy good!
The pelicans are hungry...they are waiting for some fish from the cleaning table...actually the scraps. Today, it is cold! Very cold for here...42, and that's the high.
Bubba went on an off shore fishing trip, 35-50 miles off the coast...he caught 5 and lost 3....but somehow didn't bring any fish home. (He says they don't taste so good, I think he just didn't want to clean them) He swears he will never do this again. 6-8 foot waves and 10-12 foot swells....hmmm, thank goodness he doesn't get sea sick.
Ok, so the construction started...everything was going fine till the light company dug up the main trunk line of the water to the whole neighborhood...and then cut the cable line....the only thing they didn't hit was the sewer line...Thank goodness! That would have stunk. But today we started to poured the concrete. We will finish up tomorrow and then start hooking up electricity, water and sewer. The external hookups for 2 RV's are in and will be ready for use as soon as the concrete has seasoned. Bubba is doing his supervisory job and fussing about how much everything is costing...much more than he planned. But everything will really be nice when it all gets done!
Bubba had to repent... he was not happy when I found this Christmas tree at a garage sale in Oregon for $5.00. Yes, we had to haul it 2600 miles back to Texas for our daughter. He did admit it was a good deal and it is beautiful. I love it when I'm right!
Oh me, Oh my...the Tillamook ice cream has gone bye bye. The 6 half gallons of Udderly Chocolate we brought home has disappeared! We will sorely miss it. It is a sad day indeed.
Fall has finally come to Southeast Texas. We are leaving the RV park here outside of Houston to meet up with our friends Les & Diane...in Canton at First Monday Trades Days.
