Cleaning fish...

Why is he cleaning fish in my KITCHEN??? I guess he is going to have to build a fish cleaning table. Last week he caught 22 crappie and 10 white bass. We fried some up and they were really good! D&B

Gone fishing..

Bubba is waving good-bye as he is off fishing with Jim & Roger. They end up getting 8 crappie and 2 white bass. They caught a lot more, but those were keepers! D & B

The Fish Fry...

It's a beautiful day in Rockport! So we had a fish fry! Did we catch the fish??? No! Ann did! a 44 inch Red! and he was really good! Some of our Winter Texan friends came. Jim & Ruth, Joyce & Dave are from Minnesota. Ed & Lois are from Wisconsin, and Marvin & Diana are from Arizona. The rest of us are Texans. It was a lovely evening with great food, great weather and great friendships. D & B

A little building going on...

So we get to Rockport, Bubba & Daryl build a fish cleaning table ... in preparation of all the fish we are going to catch! Hmmm... we'll have to see if we can catch a few. D & B

South to Rockport

So last Saturday, Bubba and I headed south to Rockport. We are planning on spending a week with our friends, Daryl and Ann. It is so much warmer here than in Onalaska. D & B

This is Bubba's new toy. Although he says it's my boat... He did take it out today and he had the biggest smile on his face. He is in love with this toy. D & B

I met my sister Karen, my niece Kelli and nephew John Robert at the airport in Indianapolis...We have a wedding to go to!!! D & B

So I take a little trip to Indianapolis to see my niece get married...Welcome to Indiana! And yes, it is cold...very cold!

More snow...

It was such a beautiful morning. The air was cold and crisp, the sun was bright and warm. Steam rose from the lake. It truly felt like winter that morning! D & B

SNOW in SE Texas!

Snow in Southeast Texas! We were surprised with some of the white stuff! We always have a colder than normal winter after a hurricane, and we got it. It was really fun since we hardly ever see any snow. The day warmed up and all of the snow has melted away. But it was fun while it lasted! D & B

Goodbye old friend...

Bubba is washing our motor home, for she is leaving us for a new home. A young couple with 2 children will now have all the fun she can provide. We were sad to see her go, but she needs to be on the road again. Goodbye old friend.... D & B

In Texas, young ladies learn early in life where to go to get the 'good stuff'. Canton (First Monday Trades Day) of course! D & B

First Monday Trade Days

If you have ever been to Canton, you know this gate. I spent 3 days shopping and still didn't see it all! This is a twice yearly trip. If you can't find it at First Monday you don't need it! B & D

PS. Bubba chose not to come, he just wanted me to bring him home some hammer handles and some gecko toes.

Bubba & Jerry cooking again. They cooked 3 hogs for our neighborhood. It was so good! D & B
