Real Work Begins!

So much work to make this livable! Tomorrow the foundation will be laid and the back porch torn off. D & B

What a mess!

The old mobile being moved out, and what a mess! But now the real work begins! D & B

AND THE WORK BEGINS!

The men worked all day removing the sides and rafter. By the end of the day, the house had been cut in half so that the trailer can be pulled out! It will be a nice place when we are finished. (If I keep saying it, it will come true!) D & B

The new back porch poles are in the ground!

This is why we bought that dinky green house...The VIEW is beautiful!

Of course, it needs a new bulkhead, pier and boat lift. OH, and a new house. Do I hear....Money Pit???

New House

This is our new home...I know, what were we thinking. Just wait till we get it fixed up, it will be MUCH different!

Watts Bar

This is the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. This is where our baby is going to work for the next 10 months. She is designing the piping supports for the new reactor that will be coming on line. D & B

Marty

This here is Marty! He is a Youth minister in El Paso at the Westside Church of Christ. While I was visiting we took a group of his kids to Carlsbad. This was in the caverns, his head touches the top! D & B

El Paso

I got to go to El Paso for my birthday, so that I could see Marty. We went to Carlsbad Caverns and spent a great weekend together. Bubba stayed home and dog sat. D & B

On the Water

Bubba is out on the water again! That man loves to fish. It's been so hot that the fish are not cooperating. We're just bringing in a few. October and cooler weather can't get here fast enough! D & B

On the Boat

Does it look like Bubba is having fun! He is out on the lake, fishing! He loves being on the lake! And takes every opportunity to get out on the water he can get. D & B

Day Lily Farm

Bubba & I went to a Day Lily farm the other day with friends Anne & Harry. The day lilies were beautiful. I will include some of the pictures so you can see also. I did buy a few! D & B

Have seen everything!

Now you have seen everything! We were headed up the river to crappie fish when we came across a Sea-do pulling a chair on the water. You never know what you'll see here on the lake. D & B

Cooking fish

Bubba and Sonny are cooking fish on the front porch. No, this is not the BIG one. These are some Crappie we caught the day before. It was a great weekend! Wish you could have been here. D & B

The fish Bubba cooked are really good! So says Les and Diane, and Karen. Les is standing up because he is ready to get more!

Memorial Day Fishing...

It is Memorial Day weekend...Les and Sonny and Bubba go fishing for White Bass, only Les catches a 25 lb Yellow Catfish. It was huge! They did catch some white bass and one crappie, but the yellow cat was the catch of the day! That Les is so lucky when it comes to fishing! D & B
