Day Lily Farm

Bubba & I went to a Day Lily farm the other day with friends Anne & Harry. The day lilies were beautiful. I will include some of the pictures so you can see also. I did buy a few! D & B

Have seen everything!

Now you have seen everything! We were headed up the river to crappie fish when we came across a Sea-do pulling a chair on the water. You never know what you'll see here on the lake. D & B

Cooking fish

Bubba and Sonny are cooking fish on the front porch. No, this is not the BIG one. These are some Crappie we caught the day before. It was a great weekend! Wish you could have been here. D & B

The fish Bubba cooked are really good! So says Les and Diane, and Karen. Les is standing up because he is ready to get more!

Memorial Day Fishing...

It is Memorial Day weekend...Les and Sonny and Bubba go fishing for White Bass, only Les catches a 25 lb Yellow Catfish. It was huge! They did catch some white bass and one crappie, but the yellow cat was the catch of the day! That Les is so lucky when it comes to fishing! D & B

Herd of Doxies....

So one day our daughter was up visiting and my mom came up too. We went out to lunch, but didn't bring anything back. So the dogs got some Vienna Sausages. You can see them on the plate. Bubba is trying to feed them all... all 6 of them. Gwen, Buff, Sawyer, Daphne, Alex and Glory. D & B

Chickie in Ireland

This is our daughter, Stephanie and our niece, Christy in Ireland. They are at the Cliffs of Moher, they had a great time! They said it was very cold over there.

The Crappie are...

The other day the fish were bitting. Crappie and one white bass. They were very good fried up in corn meal! Yum! D & B

Jon's Birthday..

Our youngest son had a '30th' birthday on Sunday. This is him and his father. Happy Birthday Jonathan. love you, mom

Cleaning fish...

Why is he cleaning fish in my KITCHEN??? I guess he is going to have to build a fish cleaning table. Last week he caught 22 crappie and 10 white bass. We fried some up and they were really good! D&B

Gone fishing..

Bubba is waving good-bye as he is off fishing with Jim & Roger. They end up getting 8 crappie and 2 white bass. They caught a lot more, but those were keepers! D & B

The Fish Fry...

It's a beautiful day in Rockport! So we had a fish fry! Did we catch the fish??? No! Ann did! a 44 inch Red! and he was really good! Some of our Winter Texan friends came. Top pic, left to right, Jim, Ed, Diana, Ann, Lois, Joyce and Ruth. Bottom pic (guys are cooking) Marvin, Bubba, Ed, Dave and Daryl.

Jim & Ruth, Joyce & Dave are from Minnesota. Ed & Lois are from Wisconsin, and Marvin & Diana are from Arizona. The rest of us are Texans. It was a lovely evening with great food, great weather and great friendships. D & B

A little building going on...

So we get to Rockport, Bubba & Daryl build a fish cleaning table ... in preparation of all the fish we are going to catch! Hmmm... we'll have to see if we can catch a few. D & B

South to Rockport

So last Saturday, Bubba and I headed south to Rockport. We are planning on spending a week with our friends, Daryl and Ann. It is so much warmer here than in Onalaska. D & B
