Look what showed up in front of my pier. I don't know what kind of goose it is, but it loved the floating catfish food I threw out! D & B

Roses...

This is one of my new roses. Stephanie and I went to the Antique Rose Emporium yesterday. I got 8 new roses! This one is named 'Easy Living' D & B

What is it???

Ok, so I have this plant that I thought was a wisteria, but it's not. I went out today and it had blooms all over it. They look like wisteria blooms but are maroon in color. The bush smells wonderful and the smell is all over the back yard. Does any one know what this is? Thanks D & B

Wonderful Girlfriends

This is my friend Karen...she would not let me take a picture of her face. That is because we are painting, here she is in our bathroom. She and our friend Ann helped me paint cabinets.

Yellow...GONE!

Those of you that know me, know how much I hated that yellow mustard hardiplank exterior! We finally got the house painted and it looks SO much better! As soon as it cools off here a little bit, I'll start working on the landscaping. Today the high is only 98 with a heat index of 111. Fall is around the corner. D & B

The Big Fish...

We went out fishing with Clark and we caught quite a few catfish. But this baby was our big surprise. It is VERY hot here. Today was 100, tomorrow is 102. Fall is only 6 weeks away! D & B

A Boat House

A Boat House!!! Ok, so we still have to put in the lift system. We will probably get to that next week, this weekend is a chemo weekend and Bubba is not feeling so good. D & B

This young man came with his barge to drive the poles in for the boat house. The square red thing hammers the poles into the ground under water. d & b

Crawfish Time.....

We get out of the hospital, our 2nd stay, and what do we have to do??? Have a mud bug feast! We cooked 40lbs of crawfish, 4 lbs shrimp, corn on the cob and new potatoes! Yum! It is a lot of work, so it only gets done once a year. D & B

Bubba in the hospital

Bubba had to go into the hospital and was in there for 10 days. He is doing well now and he is back to his old self! All of that didn't have anything to do with the cancer. Thank you all for the prayers said in his behalf. They worked and God is Good! D & B

Robert & Marla visit

Robert & Marla came to visit just before Bubba went into the hospital also. It was nice to see all of our friends. D & B

Les & Diane Visit

Les & Diane came for a visit just before we went into the hospital. You can see Bubba has his walker with him. We did enjoy their visit! D & B

Sug & Tink...

Bubba's mom came up to go fishing and we took her out a few times. This was one time when she and Tink were concentrating on watching the cork. D & B

Me and the Crappie..

We went out fishing and I caught the biggest crappie! WOOHOO! He deserved a kiss! We did have a really good time. D & B

So our Yankee friends are starting to come through on their way home. This is Dave, he and his wife Joyce live in Minnesota. But he loves to fish and catch some crappie. D & B
