Ok, so the construction started...everything was going fine till the light company dug up the main trunk line of the water to the whole neighborhood...and then cut the cable line....the only thing they didn't hit was the sewer line...Thank goodness! That would have stunk. But today we started to poured the concrete. We will finish up tomorrow and then start hooking up electricity, water and sewer. The external hookups for 2 RV's are in and will be ready for use as soon as the concrete has seasoned. Bubba is doing his supervisory job and fussing about how much everything is costing...much more than he planned. But everything will really be nice when it all gets done!
Bubba had to repent... he was not happy when I found this Christmas tree at a garage sale in Oregon for $5.00. Yes, we had to haul it 2600 miles back to Texas for our daughter. He did admit it was a good deal and it is beautiful. I love it when I'm right!
Oh me, Oh my...the Tillamook ice cream has gone bye bye. The 6 half gallons of Udderly Chocolate we brought home has disappeared! We will sorely miss it. It is a sad day indeed.
Fall has finally come to Southeast Texas. We are leaving the RV park here outside of Houston to meet up with our friends Les & Diane...in Canton at First Monday Trades Days.
The San Jacinto monument is just across the ship channel from us. The birth place of the Republic of Texas...where the Texicans beat Santa Anna and the Mexicans for Texas independence...after the Alamo and Goliad. Bubba's great-great grandfather was there!
We are in Highlands Texas...east of Houston. This is the RV park we are at...notice Bubba in shorts...today's high 83. The water is the San Jacinto river. Still waiting to close on the property in Onalaska.
OK, we are home 2 days and Dorothy ends up in the emergency room. Our daughters dog, Glory, bit her. Eight hours later, there are red streaks going up her arm. Time for a tetanus shot and some IV antibiotics. Are we having fun yet???
Don't you just hate it when the steps don't go up like they are suppose to? Bubba is helping Diane, by staying out of Les's way. Have a good trip! B & D
The girls are ready to stop traveling. They are so tired of a moving house. Here they are sitting under the front seat of the motor home. Such sad eyes! Please Mom & Dad....STOP.
Drove through California, stopped and saw our friends Jack & Bev. California sure is different than Oregon (Orygan) And it was hot!!! We had to ask if we were headed home too soon.
Cannon Beach...one of our favorites. It is so beautiful on the coast here! Today is a wet rainy day...the weatherman says the rainy season is here early. It is going to be a cold, wet winter. We are headed back to Texas in 10 days.

The flowers up here are truely beautiful...Bubba brought me these ....hmmmm, what does he want? Joking! Too bad they can't be grown in Texas!
Bubba and Les are cooking Halibut, hambugers and sausage dogs for a cook out honoring Al and Lorna's (the owners of the park) 50th anniversery. Rex and Rose are in the background! We all had a great time...note the US Mail box in the background....yes, it is an old fridge.
